Rebates for Marathon Water Heaters

Rebates offered by Great Lakes Energy will lower your out-of-pocket expense when you purchase and install a Marathon electric water heater.

Water Heater Rebates

The water heater rebate only applies towards the purchase of a new Marathon water heater when purchased directly from one of our participating contractors.

Great Lakes Energy members are eligible to receive one water heater rebate per location (meter) for the life of this program.

Rebates are for Marathon water heaters purchased directly from a participating contractor. The list of contractors and more information can be obtained by emailing us at controlprograms@glenergy.com.

Rebate amounts:
$250 for replacing an electric water heater
$500 for replacing a non-electric water heater
$500 for a water heater installed in a new home

• Rebates are issued at the time of installation by the participating contractor or after installation verification by a licensed contractor and submission of a rebate request form. The water heater must be installed at the location where the member has service from GLE and for the account that the member is claiming a rebate on.
• No rebate will be issued until the water heater is installed and verified. It is the responsibility of the member to submit the installation verification and rebate request form.
• Rebates are for GLE cooperative members only who receive electric service from GLE. Non-members are able to purchase the units at non-member pricing by contacting a participating contractor directly.

• All rebates are subject to verification. Program is subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice.

Are Marathon water heaters ENERGY STAR rated? There is currently no rating for any brand of electric water heaters through ENERGY STAR.
